Smart card operated equipment is the latest technology in payment systems for commercial laundry equipment. A smart card is similar to a credit card but contains an embedded microchip. This micro chip memorizes credit a user places on the card at a central card loading station. Each time a user inserts the card into a machine, one vend is deducted from the cards credit.
